It’s estimated there could be £19.4 billion in forgotten and unclaimed pensions, equal to 1.6 million pensions worth £13,000 each. In 2021 Punter Southall Aspire founded National Pension Tracing Day (NPTD) - an initiative aimed at encouraging the nation look to for lost pensions. It’s on the last Sunday of October so that people can use the extra hour to join the Great Pension Treasure Hunt and potentially rediscover thousands of pounds. Aegon, Legal & General, Scottish Widows and Standard Life became founding sponsors. And it was such a success that NPTD will run again this year on Sunday 30th October. This year NPTD has partnered with the Pension Attention campaign as part of Pension Awareness season. NPTD also welcomes new sponsors – Aviva, Hargreaves Lansdown, Royal London and Smart Pension.
