Regulations for simpler annual benefit statements to come into force
In May 2021, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), published a consultation on draft regulations introducing simpler annual statements for DC schemes used for auto-enrolment. The regulations were due to come into force in April 2022, but the DWP has announced it is pushing the implementation date back by six months to 1 October 2022, having recognised industry concerns about having sufficient time to adopt the requirements in an accurate and reliable manner.
